I’m running to ensure Osakis continues to provide the same excellence that brought my family back here.
I grew up right here in the area, raised on a small dairy farm between Long Prairie and Osakis. After living elsewhere for a time, my family and I made the deliberate decision to move back here specifically because of the school district. We wanted our kids to grow up in a place where education and community go hand-in-hand.
Through my work at GiGi's Playhouse (a national nonprofit that provides free therapeutic, educational, and career training programs to individuals with Down syndrome) and as an assistant track and field coach at Osakis, I have learned the importance of meeting people where they are at and how incremental improvement compounds to create amazing results.
Today, I want to give back by helping build on the strong base that currently exists at Osakis Public Schools.
We are entering a vital phase for our school's physical future. I am excited to help guide us through the new facility build-out, ensuring we create spaces that inspire learning while remaining fiscally responsible to our taxpayers.
With my professional background in technology, I offer a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in the classroom and administrative office. I want to help our students and teachers navigate these tools safely and effectively.
I believe very strongly in the power of continuous improvement. Using data-driven insights to refine our curriculum and operations will enable our district remain a leader in Minnesota education.
Our schools are the heart of Osakis. I am committed to maintaining the high standards we moved here for, ensuring that every student has the foundation they need to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
